Coach Soham
Coach Soham is a high school sophomore and a frequent competitor at the Fort Bend Chess Club. Soham began playing chess when he was eight years old and started participating in USCF tournaments when he was eleven. He has since participated in many tournaments within the Houston area and achieved a peak USCF rating of 1320.
He enjoys coaching kids and loves meeting new players who want to learn chess. Soham specializes in coaching beginners and players below 800 USCF, and is dedicated to coach the basic skills.
In his lessons, Soham emphasizes making chess enjoyable and easy. He shows students how to think ahead before making their moves, avoid making basic errors, and establish a strong foundation so they can keep improving.
Available for in person coaching, especially in Sugar Land and Stafford.
