Lesson 1 learning objectives

• Most games are won or lost because of errors in counting. This lesson uses a beginners’ game to teach how to count in a game and avoid unsafe trades.

Lesson 2 learning objectives

• Teach a method to evaluate a position and determine who is winning. This is important to know if you are trying to decide whether to trade pieces or not or to look ahead and decide which moves you are considering is best.
